Physical Description: Like all Vegans, he has a bony and angular skeletal structure, which can, at first glance, be mistaken for Cardassian. His skin is rust colored, stretched over angular bone protrusions and muscles. Marxx has violet eyes, but near the pupils his eyes turn a vivid color of red. His hair is swept back, flowing, and black. Physically, Marxx moves with great economy - no movement is wasted. Also, his physical form is very intimidating, a feature offset by his kind personality.

Personal History
Dexter Marxx was born six years prior to the death of his father while serving in Starfleet. His mother raised him and soon he became interested in Vulcan culture. His family pressured him to continue his lineage and enter Starfleet. Bending under their pressure, Dexter complied, but before entering the Academy he married Alycia Madros, who would later become Mayor Alycia Marxx of Tenagra City.

After three years in the Academy, Dexter used his family's strings to gain an indefinite hiatus from the Academy, to the displeasure of his mother. He moved to Vulcan to finish his studies in Vulcan Culture at the prestigious Vulcan Science Academy. After three more years of study, his wife was assassinated during a election acceptance speech on Vega.

It was later found out that Alycia had not been killed. She had been a Changeling, and had returned to the Dominion. Mortified that he could not protect his family and children properly and urged by his mother, Dexter finished his final year at the Academy and became a Starfleet officer. Though his four children were initially left in the custody of his mother, he later took custody after his first ship assignment permitted him to. During a battle against Dominion forces in the Gamma Quadrant, Dexter Marxx's eldest daughter, Breanne, died.

Dexter Marxx served in Starfleet eight years. He was present at the Battle of Coriana III and fought the Kem D'Neel.

Marxx resigned from Starfleet in 2414 to become the military governor of the Vigilance Platform in his home system. He remained there for two years, working with Section 31 on the side. In 2416, he retired from the Vegan military and became a private citizen, making occasional public appearances, interviews, and guest lectures at Starfleet Academy.

He came out of retirement in 2429 to command the Neo-Essentialist fleet that was sent to engage and destroy the rebel fleet massing at Elandipole. Unaware of Edgerton's true nature, Marxx changed sides when the truth was presented to him. He led the newly-united Starfleet in the battle to restore the Federation, but died in the closing stages of the Battle of Earth, sacrificing himself and his ship to save the city of San Francisco from being obliterated by a thaleron weapon.
