LOCATION: USS PHOENIX
SD [2.17] 0227.1055
SCENE: Holodeck 8 ("The Library")

With the selection of the roles that two women would play in this little holodeck adventure finalized, the Librarian had placed her hand on the book and caused the clothing of Iphie and Sofia to reflect this. The advantage of being locked inside a holodeck had been that for all intents and purposes magic had been very much alive and well in this imaginary and somewhat messed up realm.

"You look very royal," the blonde haired Doctor offered with a grin as she studied the lavishly large bell domed dress that had appeared on the woman. "Granted that the neckline might be a little low for some, but I suspect that whoever takes on the role of your Prince Charming will not be complaining.

"You are not looking all that much better," Iphie gently growled back as she pointed to the Fairy Godmother that the Chief Medical officer had become. "Your dress may not be as low cut as mine, but at least I don;t have wings attached to my back.

"Wings?" Sofia gasped as she tried to look over her shoulder to see if this had indeed been the case. As the Chief Medical officer did so, her feet began to leave the safety of the ground, the Fairy Godmother having taken to the air.

"Of course wings," the Librarian stated without hesitation. "Who has ever hard of a wingless Fairy Godmother? Where do you people get your fairy tales from?"

"Obviously not from the same library," Iphie chuckled as she watched Sofia frantically trying to gain control of her new found flying ability. "Maybe you should try controlling the pitch by moving your shoulders. You could also try seeing if the the wings react to your back muscles."

"The size of these wings should not be able to support someone of my weight, not that I am saying that I am heavy, just that the wings are too small for what they seem to be doing," Andersson argued, more upset about her inability to control the wings on her back than anything else at the moment. "Not every Fairy Godmother have wings, and I should be one of them," Sofia added as she found herself doing an uncontrolled spin.

"You people sure enjoy making things more complicated than they need to be," the Librarian huffed as she tapped the book in her hands once with a finger causing the wings to suddenly vanish in a delicate explosion of sparkles. With the wings or the presumed magic accounting for their functionality, Doctor Andersson found herself falling to the ground which luckily had only been a few meters away.

"Still think making me the Princess was the smart decision?" Iphie laughed as she helped the woman in the large dress get back onto her feet.

"That was not funny," Sofia forcefully noted to the Librarian who nonchalantly pointed to the dragon who had been assigned to the role of side kick, the large flying reptile having a clear grin on his face. Before the Doctor could continue her argument about the lack of amusement from the last little bit, the Librarian pointed to the Princess who had clearly found this whole thing comical.

"Where are the hordes of blood thirsty villains or those giant smelly ogres when you need them," Sofia huffed as she brushed the dirt off from her new dress. "Heck, I would take some flying monkeys at this rate if it meant not having to deal with this dress or my inability to fly."

"Be careful what you wish for," the Librarian grinned. "You are after all the Fairy Godmother, and as such you should not ask for things that you are not ready to deal with."

Iphie and Sofia stared at one another, uncertain of what would happen next, but before either could voice an idea or even their fears, the dragon that could be seen through the large window suddenly let out a loud roar as it vanished from view as if pulled by something or someone.

"Why do I have the feeling that this are about to get a lot more complicated for us?" Iphie sighed as she hiked up her dress to allow for a easier walk to the window to see what had happened to their side kick.

On her end, Sofia had actually tried to take flight to reach the window as quickly as possible, remembering only after not having been able to escape the ground that she had by her own words wished for her wings to no longer be there. "Should have asked for a user's manual when I decided to take on the role of the Fairy Godmother. This is going to take time to get used to and by the sounds of things, time is something that we just ran out of."
