A Preserver, found in stasis by the crew of the DISCOVERY on an alien world deep in the Beta Quadrant. Isador was captured by the Thal in the infancy of the galaxy, and was placed in a stasis field to be consumed by the Hive Mind. For some reason, she never was, and slumbered in her crystalline prison for millions of years until reawakened by the DISCOVERY's away team. Now, she acts as a guide to the crew, imparting her knowledge of the long-dead parts of the Beta Quadrant, as the ship approaches the very edge of the galaxy.
