Physical Description: Sam is the genetic oddity of her family. She has the most obvious aspects of each part of her heritage - her skin is a pale green and she has a figure that screams Orion. She has the well-known Trill spots down both sides of her body. Her ears are also pointed. Her hair is mid-back length, kept loose off duty and in a tight bun on duty.

Personal History
Sam was born and raised on the USS SIRONA along with her younger brother. Her father is the CO and her mother a nurse on the Starfleet medical ship.

Her father, Ton, is from a strict military family, and taking into account the Vulcan relatives as well, their home life was very logical and militaristic. His personality was very cold and strict, but this mostly changed when he met Sam’s mother. Her heritage of Orion, Trill and Human left her with a carefree spirit and a desire to help people.

The couple fell in love when Victoria was assigned to Ton’s sickbay. He was swept away in the reckless romance, risking his military career. He rose through the ranks, and moved out of the sickbay and into command as early as he could so they could be together.

The couple had two children together.

Samantha always looked up to her mother. The woman wanted to help people and managed to be a good mum even though she worked and kept to her slightly hippy ways. She wasn’t as close to her father - he made his children call him "Sir", and demanded reports. Seeing him as the face of Starfleet, Sam rebelled. She left the USS SIRONA as early as she could. She joined a rag-tag group of teenagers who went from planet to planet protesting against various things, taking in the night life, attempting to help but probably causing more harm than good.

Sam was already a skilled first aider, and would have made a passable doctor even without qualifications. She’d learned a lot from her parents and would attempt to help where she could. She was happy with her life until they ended up somewhere dangerous - a mining colony. There was an earthquake and thousands died. A Federation vessel was the first on the scene, and Sam saw for the first time the good Starfleet could actually do, rather than just handing out injections or dealing with medical emergencies days after the fact. It was the first time Sam actually understood her father's dedication to the fleet.

Unlike Sam her brother was very militaristic, he tried to follow her father’s footsteps and became a security officer.

Samantha Perry's career on the PHOENIX was not destined to last long. She was killed on the ice-planet Lavenza II after being absorbed into the Promethean Device.
