THE HALL OF VOICES

The HALL OF VOICES is an ancient underground stone structure on Vulcan. It is the current home of the both the Federation Assembly and Council, and has been since the Federation's capital was moved to Vulcan in late 2431. It is located underneath the city of ShiKahr, originally built to act as a meeting and debating hall for the leaders of the Vulcan Confederacy.

The main meeting hall is built in the style of a Terran amphitheatre, with numerous supporting columns. Being underground, much of the building is out of direct sunlight and remains the same cool temperature year-round. Over the years, there have been several annexes constructed at ground level, and now several office blocks and administrative buildings are connected to the underground hall.

With the relocation of the Federation capital world to Vulcan, several modifications to the existing structure have had to be implemented, including space for hundreds of new offices, media hubs and comms terminals. The impact on the original building has been kept to a minimum.
