NEW ALEXANDRIA

New Alexandria is an ultra-secret Starfleet Intelligence base. It lies inside a hollowed-out asteroid close to the Geza Nebula. It is the home of four Scarab-class starships that comprise Charles Koniki's Intelligence fleet - the USS Anubis, USS Bastet, USS Horus, and USS Sekhmet. It is rare to find more than two of these starships docked at any one time, as their work requires them to be absent for long periods.

Both the asteroid field and the nebula itself lie far from any shipping routes, yet are strategically placed enough to give easy access to several important Federation sectors. The thick iron mantle of the giant asteroid that encloses it gives New Alexandria increased defence and also protection from any localised sensor scans. Specially encoded navigational buoys allow its attached fleet to find its way through the shifting maze of asteroids.

The space station's interior is enormous, and it does not have a conventional deck layout. Instead, a magnetic levitation train system is in place to help personnel move around the station at high speed. All New Alexandria personnel have a minimum of level 2 Intelligence clearance.
