THE INTERSTELLAR CONSORTIUM

The INTERSTELLAR CONSORTIUM (ISC) is an extra-dimensional political entity, located in Dimension 036. It is a peaceful confederation of worlds organised under the rule of a Consortium Assembly and a First Minister. All member worlds work jointly on defence, security, and technology, but handle local issues themselves. Although much smaller in size compared to the Federation, the diversity of the Interstellar Consortium is impressive, counting wildly different alien species as members. It uses a stylised spiral as its emblem, signifying how many peoples become one.

The ISC is aware of the existence of the multiverse, and has managed to penetrate the Veil with small probes that can carry vox and data messages.

The USS Prophecy made First Contact with the ISC in 2418, when ISC ships came to her aid during a hostile encounter with another alien starship. It marked the beginning of cordial relations between the crew of the Prophecy and the ISC, resulting in several friendly encounters over the next three years. The Prophecy acted as a go-between, relaying messages between the Federation and the ISC, culminating in a formal greeting between the two governments in 2419.

There has been no contact with the Interstellar Consortium since 2421. Much as the Federation Diplomatic Corps would like to get back in touch, penetrating the Veil between universes has hampered this ambition.
