General Overview		Mackenzie Procter is a career-minded officer on the way up. Having been promoted to her current position relatively quickly, she is eager to cultivate the image of a professional, focused officer, and strives to maintain that mindset. She is politically and socially conservative, and considers the original Articles of Federation to be inviolable and not open to modern reinterpretation. Thus, she believes that Humans are integral to the core of the United Federation of Planets.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Procter is an excellent officer - she's adept at both the small unit tactics needed to coordinate a starship's security detail, and also as a systems manager for bridge Tactical. While on duty, she's careful to remain as professional as possible. The downside of that attitude is that she's afraid of making a serious error of judgement in her work, or of creating a bad impression with her superiors. It can lead to over-sensitivity on her part, and she may be quick to take offence at an imagined slight.
Ambitions		Like most young Starfleet officers, Procter wants to move into command, but realises she has to work hard to get there.
Hobbies & Interests		Procter has a keen interest in law and politics, and is usually ready to engage in a debate with her shipmates about the issues of the day. Before applying to the Academy, she was accepted to Harvard Law School, but chose a career in Starfleet. She once seriously considered running for local office, and may yet move down that road if her career does not advance quickly enough.

Personal History		Mackenzie Procter was born in 2405 in North Carolina. Her father was enlisted in Starfleet, and he was absent for much of her childhood - he was eventually killed during in 2411 during the Seventh War of Retribution. Procter's family unit was a traditionalist one, and she did well enough in high school to be accepted to both a prestigious law school or Starfleet Academy. Always with an eye on the long game, she chose Starfleet, thinking that a military career as a naval officer would look better on her future resume. After graduating in 2427, she spent five years on two tours of duty, being promoted each time. She was posted to the USS Phoenix, but was passed over for promotion to the ship's Chief of Security in favour of a man with a criminal past, a decision she bitterly regretted. Now she may have a chance to advance herself once again.
